Cedar Living Center

Cedar Living Center, a 36-bed nursing facility, is an important part of the Decatur Health Systems family. The Center has been providing for the needs of the community for almost 30 years. The professionally skilled staff provides skilled nursing and physical care, together with services to meet social, psychological, and spiritual needs. Daily rates at Cedar Living Center cover the cost of nursing service, room, meals, laundry, housekeeping, supportive services, and general supplies. Most beauty shop services, e-mail, and cable TV access are offered at no extra charge. A variety of stimulating social, recreational, educational, and religious programs provided through the Activity Department are also included. We are proud of our staff of dedicated employees. Volunteers of all ages are in the facility daily to assist with providing those extras that money just cannot buy.

Choices Philosophy
Our nursing home is enhancing "Choices" in care for its residents and making its environment more inviting and homelike. Residents direct their own care to the highest extent possible. Therefore, assistance is given only in areas where it is needed. Each staff member works with the same residents on a regular basis to develop trust, meaningful relationships, and lasting bonds.

One of the most meaningful purposes in life is to remain an active and productive person well into one's senior years.
