Support Services

Employees in the support services departments are an important part of our facility, and provide all the basic everyday needs to our residents, patients and staff.

Dietary Department

The Dietary Department provides meals that are planned to incorporate special diet needs for both the hospital and for Cedar Living Center. The Dietary Staff also prepares food for Meals on Wheels, food that is delivered to the homes of those who need this service.












Laundry Department

Employees in the Laundry Department provide clean linens for the hospital and also wash personal clothing for Cedar Living Center residents.

Housekeeping Department

Housekeeping Department employees mop, clean and dust all areas in the facility, including offices, patient rooms at the hospital and resident rooms at Cedar Living Center. Their work keeps the surgery suite sterile, which is of utmost importance.

Maintenance Department

The Maintenance Department personnel keep the utilities running in smooth order: Air conditioning in summer, heat in winter and water running leak-free. They keep snow cleared in winter and lawns mowed in summer. The floors are kept shining by their buffing, and the rooms are kept fresh with new paint when needed. The maintenance employees also ensure that the parking lot is cleared and secured for a helicopter landing when a patient needs to be airlifted out to larger hospitals in Hays, Wichita or Kearney, Nebraska.
