Decatur Health is a rural health organization located in Northwest Kansas comprised of a critical access hospital and a rural family practice clinic.  We also manage an independent living complex.  Our organization is committed to providing quality health care to the rural population in our community.

Julie Smith CEO of Decatur Health has many years of experience in rural healthcare and quality.   As an RN, BSN Julie has been involved in several rural collaboratives to network Emergency Services and Critical Access Hospitals.  Receiving her Masters in Healthcare Administration (MHA) in 2004 has provided Julie with opportunities to expand from nursing to administration responsibilities in rural healthcare.

Julie became a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) in 2020 as she continues to be a lifelong learner and wants to implement ways to improve quality and patient outcomes in this area.

The Core Values of Decatur Health, Compassion, Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork and Aspire help move the organization to meet the mission and vision of Decatur Health.
